    Idle still itteremittent...

OK, so went home, took the front krank vent off and installed a pcv to see if the idle changes. started it up this morning and went to 2000rpms. took the idle screw down and got rpms to about 1000-1100 rpms. steady...

Took off to work and got to a light and rpms stayed at 2000. went to get gas, same thing. pulled into work and dropped to normal 1000-1100.. wtf? i adjusted the throttle cable and it wasnt tight, no slack. checked the cruise control box springs and all were good tension. idk? wtf?

btw, this started after yesterday i was warming the car up and pulled the throttle cable and it came off the track and reved to 6000 rpms (my 2 step) and wouldnt shut off till i turned off the car.

First thing to check is a bad/dirty IAC/ISC valve, see this link: link

There are 6 pins on the IAC valve, you need to check the resistance between each pin. Should be between 28-40ohms. When mine went bad I had no reading between pins 4 and 5. $69 part from rockauto.

See step #2 in the link I posted above. You measure the pins on the IAC.

If the IAC checks out good, you'll probably want to set your idle to make sure something isn't way off. If you have a datalogger, make sure the idle flag is coming on when you are at idle and take a look at the ISC steps- it will let you know what may be going on there. It sounds like you may have a pretty big vacuum leak somewhere. A boost leak test could help you with that.

Ok, well just did the test...btw i have a new IAC motor on there, the black one, and all pins tested great...39.3, 39.7, 39.4, 39.8. Checked all lines and pipes and everything is pretty tighr and connected. Couldnt hear any leaks but tough when the engine is running ok, well, I will hook up my laptop tonight to the EMS and look at it. See what my reading are. BTW, what is normal with the ISC log? How do I do a boost leak test with dejon blow thru setup

I had this problem for a minute after I did the injectors and I swore the cable was tightened in the correct spot, but on a double take it had slid just a touch which was enough .. For what its worth I also made a mark so I know at a glance

Since last night she is perfect again. no idle issues at all. After checking the IAC I unplugged the battery for about 1 hr, plugged everything back and car has been perfect. wonder if the morning it freaked out and reved to 6000rpms messed with the air sensor or something. But, good to go for now
