Damn just read the thread. I was going to tell you to unplug the battery for awhile. I have had this problem and so has a friend, and that seems to be the fix.

Glad to see you got it working.

We follow the earth. The earth follows the stars. The stars know their way and though the body dies. The stars will remain, like the waves of the sea and restless slate.

    Long-term fix or short-term?

Interesting... in my case, I've been trying to solve an intermittent idle problem, and it seems that every time I disconnect the battery for any period of time, when I put everything back together, it seems to run nearly flawlessly. At first I thought I was actually solving the issue, but apparently not, because a day or two later the problem returns. I went ahead and left it disconnected for longer than a day, just reconnected it, and it appears to be running fine again. The problem is as follows:

a.) Sometimes doesn't idle at all without depressing throttle (which I suppose isn't really "idling", is it?)
b.) Sometimes idles back and forth between high and low rpms (Tachometer hasn't worked since I bought the car)
c.) ISC servo is perfectly dandy (I list it as a problem because, well, if it didn't work, then I could just replace it, and there would be no problem)

I guess I just need to go get some propane (or some sort of UV vacuum leak test kit) and check that before I go rambling on and on about my headache.
And also, I suppose I should try to clean the throttle body, as when I stuck my finger just bast the butterfly valve, it returned covered in soot (that can't be healthy). I think I should like to pick up some sort of proper cleaner for it, as the only cleaner I have now is designated as a "electrical component cleaner", and the throttle body isn't exACTly an electrical component.

    Oh, also:

    c.) No consistent dash-light
i.) Sometimes AntiLock light comes on for some reason
d.) Had a friend with a (rare, DSM-compliant) datalogger at his work (which means I can only use it some evenings at exactly six pm), it connected at one point, but the next time (for whatever reason) it decided it wouldn't connect, so I can't really tell you if I'm running rich or lean, or anything like that. I sure wish I could. That would just be great.
