I do realize there's some leakage out of the cooler but I figured if you overfill it slightly all the time it won't hurt anything...

It depends on how much the oil cooler holds, where it's mounted in relation to the oil level, etc, etc... It's really just best not to do it. Keep it filled all the time and you don't have to worry about it.
Well I have been running this setup for about a year now. I had no issues with overheating with the fmic and cooler. I put about 5k miles on the car. No blown fuses or anything from that derale fan and it still turns on as it should when the other fans when stopped. Very happy with the way it turned out!

Nice, I had no idea that cooler would fit there. I may rethink plans for mounting mine.

What are your oil temps on the street (and ambient temps for that matter)? The setup looks good!
And BTW...the stock oil stat starts opening in the high 150's.
