Mayday Mayday....... Low afrs at idle !!!!!!!

I have just installed 15Gs and 550s with SAFC2 and have 12.5 ish afrs at idle, the rest of the fuel curve is fine. Checked most of the usual suspects, fpr, temp sensor etc and everything is fine. Had Supra pump (not hotwired but over ran the fpr so went back to stock for now) Going from -35 to -50 correction will bring afrs to 13.5 ish
It seems everyone runs 550s with no problems, so what' mine ?????????????????? Car ran like a swiss watch prior. PMs

Could be a leaky or erratic injector...might think about sending them for testing...

12.5 at idle is rich not lean. At idle you should be at about 15.0. Check your low fuel trim. You are running to rich at idle and probably running rich when cruising. At cruising speeds you should be between 14.5 and 15.0.

    try -30

If you pull too much correction the ecu doesn't see enough airflow and thinks the maf is broken.

I wonder if he's using EVO style injectors. I heard some people having trouble idling with those. Injector lag time can become an issue, especially if the ECU puts a limit on the "lowest airflow allowed". One way to go around this problem is to raise the idle slightly.

hell yeah the 560s have idle issues if you can't set the lag time.

Mine loved to idle in the 10s afr...
