    walbro pump installation question

so on all the install pages, it says I need to modify the stock housing for the walbro to fit, mine bolted right back in where the stock one did nice and snug. I'll still put the ziptie on, but idt it was needed?

Mine bolted up the same way and I have no problems with it. I've heard of some people having problems with a good seal at the pump to the tube so they cut the tube and use a fuel hose and clamps to connect the pump to the tube.

Some of the walbro's were a little different. I had to use a washer to make mine seal. As long as it presses into the output tube like stock you should be good to go.

What was your question? You don't know if the zip tie was needed?

Maybe the install kit you got or something. It looked like mine would almost fit but it didn't fit in the tube correctly. Mine was an NA hanger though. I've heard others say it was a direct fit for them but I had to cut the tube and use the hose that came with the kit. Are you sure you are getting a good seal in that tube?

the parts that came in my kit were basically identical to the stock parts, except the filter and pump itself. but every thing was snug and fit in like it was supposed to.

There is a plague of china walbro knockoffs out there. I'm not saying that yours is, but it probably explains some of the differences from one "Walbro" pump to another.
