megans or tein coilovers for the best ride?

One of mine had Tein coilovers. I've driven next to cars with Megans. While they almost hit there heads on the roof on bumps, mine was livable. Same road, same speed..

I'm not familiar with how Megans adjust damper.. it's possible their settings were maxed out stiff? I always kept mine middle of the road.

I've never daily driven a 3s but I wouldn't recommend any coilover for that application.

If someone was bouncing, then they didn't have the car setup right. I had zero bounce. Ask Hans, ask Lou they both rode in it.

so if money was no object, would people get the teins or, is the ride quality from the megans worth sacrificing the in car ride adjustment ability?

Money is an object though. How much do you want to spend? Replace ECS 100% and put on springs with a similar rate and have it sit lower costs around $1200. JIC and KW will cost $2000. A custom built setup which will be superior to any coilover will cost the same. BTW people... $900 Megans are not a performance upgrade, they're for looks as many shock dyno results have proven .

As far as the TEIN systems, by the time you implement an edfc your around $2000 aswell. May aswell have a pro suspension shop build a custom setup for you if you're going to drop that kind of loot.

There's also a custom programmable stock ECS controller out there too

I agree with DG and would take his advice man. He knows more about suspension dynamics than anyone on any board you will probably ever meet, even the 3s and DSM legends.

the s-techs and bilstein hd's are a good match. Very comfortable, sporty dampening, like a performance gt car should drive.

Make sure you trim the internal bumpstops on the fronts.

I got a set of megans and was not very happy. Shortly thereafter I got a set of NEXX coilovers for my celica and I liked those MUCH better. They were firm but more driveable.
I took a chance and got some 3000gt NEXX coilovers and I enjoy the ride much more than my megans.
Not trying to sell you these as the best, more of just trying to explain my experience with Megans

Just installed my megans on my NA. 15 clicks up front and 12 clicks from the top out back. Yet to get an alignment or adjust anything (back is sitting a bit lower than anticipated), but I like it so far, at least for the price.

DG I follow a lot of the posts you make, and you seem very knowledgeable. If I were to go with Bilsteins is there a way i can get adjustable height? I really need to be able to bring the car back up to stock-ish height in the winter, and would like not have to swap suspension every 6 mo.
