    Cheap no maf intake

Here is my intake setup for no maf (could be used for blow through)

$10 4" silicon joiner: Turbo Piping

    +

$15 ebay AEM 9" x4" dry flow filter.

It may not look like it, but that is pretty much the biggest filter I can fit. The silicon joiner BARELY fits in the stock bubble piece. I ovaled the maf side out a bit just by squeezing with my vice, but it is still a very tight fit. The pics do not do the filter justice, it is huge.

FYI, if you are just starting tuning with the emanage ultimate in speed density do not run the a/f target map for cells at idle and around idle. The emu will adjust way to fast and you won't be able to keep the car running.

    That looks familiar.....

BTW, it's a little cheaper if you use 4" aluminum tubing, I have enough left to make like 4 more adaptors...

Nice deal! I spent more than that just on my filter

Edit: How do you like it with no MAF? Any noticeable difference?

I'm finally getting it tuned to the point that it drives well, it is going to be a while before I have anything positive to report.

Density requires both temp and pressure inside the plenum.
Looks like you've got the IAT by the filter?

    Steve
please leave my thread, I don't need your commentary here. I'm not going to explain to you why the emanage ultimate should get the iat near the filter.

Thanks for the tip. I was getting ready to hit the hardware store for some PVC but this will work much better.

If I go with something like this will it allow me to still use my nitrous shot?

sure, you should spray into the pipe next to the throttle body anyway.

car is slowing turning back into a beast.

Initial part throttle and low speed was difficult. I had to add a crazy amount to my acceleration i/j map to get it to rev like stock. Will post screenshot later.
