    Looking at buying new carpet

Hey guys! Its almost spring and a lot of us are nearing completion of winter projects with our cars in prep for some nice weather driving My project was fairly large for myself in scale, which was to completely rip all of the interior out from the trunk trim all the way to the dash board. I cleaned all my interior parts and ordered new parts that couldn't be repaired. I got a new A pillar gauge pod and a couple new gauges. I also got new dash vents.

But now I'm at a standstill. I decided to replace all of my seat covers as well as my carpet. The ASA program lists the interior of my car as D-Grey which is Dark Grey, and my interior code is 21A. I can't find any other coding for the carpet or leather interior. I hear ACC Inc. Mitsubishi 3000 GT Carpet--OEM and Xtreme Colors! has decent quality carpet but i cant pin down whether my carpet color is closer to Charcoal or Graphite according to their available colors. Secondly, it seems that many 3/s owners have great things to say about Leatherseats.com. Is their "Dark Graphite" the same general color as the Dark Grey Leather of our platform? Any input would be greatly appreciated about the coloring or how good the quality of said products are. Thank you in advance.

ohh ya i forgot: the vehicle is a 1994 VR-4 and the leather to me looks closer to black (but is not black) than what i would consider a dark grey. I dont know if theres Multiple shades of grey when it comes to the leather per model year.

The leather is called charcoal grey. True black didn't start until 96/

thanks for the input. I may just send my seats to one of the trim shops in Indy and have them cut the pattern and color match it themselves. Seems safer that way. I also like the perforated look surprisingly.

So anyone..what about the Color of the Carpet? would that be a Charcoal Grey as well?

Yes the carpet is charcoal grey also. I haven't heard anything real positive about aftermarket carpet, meaning the fit sucked. But OEM carpet is $400+.

at my Local Mitsubishi Dealer they want 600.00 for new carpet. Ill take a pass on that. I don't mind trimming the carpet for proper fitment. The interior is totally stripped so it shouldn't be too troublesome. But if i am going to go through all of the trouble of trimming it, i want a good quality product that wont bleed out or fade over the next 5+ years

I'll Be ordering the Carpet on Monday and it will probably be on my Doorstep by this coming Friday. I guess i'll be getting Code 897: Charcoal from the ACC website Unless i receive more input on color matches. Any more input is still greatly appreciated from color to online sites that make better molds than the vendor i am purchasing from.

Another question I have is if the Mass Backing is actually worth the 55 bucks as ACC insists that it helps greatly with installation. The extra sound deadening is also a plus.

That carpet is not going to fit properly. ACC makes our OEM carpet I believe, but the aftermarket stuff they produce for us is just not right. It doesn't mold well around the rear corners, it likes to crease in odd spots, etc etc.

How do I know this? I bought one. Ended up throwing it out and buying a used OEM one on ebay.

Vacuum reduction, Powdercoated misc, cruise relocate, Evo9 BOV, Custom catch cans, Russell fuel filter, SS braided fuel lines, High flow fuel loop, Autogage fuel gauge, Catless DP, DNP Y-pipe, Fuel pump hotwire.

I ordered my carpet from Cherry Hill and it cost about $425. I guess it depends on how OCD/anal you are.
