GOD%$^)!@ I hate Kormex!

New trans put in 20k miles ago. It has leaked since I bought it and they said leaks are "expected." Besides the leaks, a slight whine and notchy shifting I didn't have any other issues...initially.

Trans was not built properly then. There should be no leaks at all, and it should shift buttery smooth. I've never heard my transmission whine. Contact someone who actually knows these transmissions, jackstransmissions or pampena motorsports are two that come to mind.

Yeah, leaks are NEVER to be expected. That's a load of horse shit. I remember when I first got into this platform. Kormex was the one and only name anyone talked about when it came to transmissions. I've seen WAY too many threads like this. I will be sending mine to Jack's as soon as I can find the $8,000 to do everything I want.

8 grand?! Holy moly! I will write jack's a message inquiring as to what they think the best steps are to take as I can shift w/o any problems but it's notchy (as stated), clunky when doing hard shifts or when rowing between gears while rolling, damned thing leaks and makes the noise. My uneducated guess would be to go with their value rebuild w/the 300m o/s but I wonder if everything will be required to get it to where it should be.

there was some talk a while back and a thread about getting a stronger spring for the inside of the output shaft seal.

people worried about the 5 speed TC leaking in my opinion need to replace it with the billet alu one. don't fuck around with it..not worth it.

Hehe, yeah. That's what I figure for everything I want to do if I'm going to drop the trans.

Why does anyone here believe that I would really say or think that a transmission leak is "normal" ?

I don't know who this guy is or even if he did buy anything from me. If the trans was leaking since he got it why didn't he bring it here ? we are only 10 minutes from Cucamonga .

I DID bring it to you guys and you (or whomever) told me leaks can be expected and the seals should set after the transmission had been used for a bit...that is why I inquired into extending the warranty as I came down and showed you (or whomever) the problems, including the sloppy feel and leaks, since the problems were present before the expiration of the 30 day warranty and was told no.

Wow really, that is how you talk to customers? I have read many thread about Kormex, and you have to be one of the rudest business representatives I have witnessed to date. Honestly, your post have ruined ANY chance I would let you touch my transmission or even buy anything from your company.
