Ipod- ITunes help

Question for you tech savvy guys. Can you tell me how to put a song or video from YouTube on to my IPod? Is that even possible? Thanks in advance for the help.

if you are jailbroken you can download mxtunes from Cydia and save any video from youtube.

If not, you'll have to get a youtube downloader and convert the videos to a compatible format. Videora iPod converter is good for that.

If you use firefox as your browser just get the firefox add-on that easily lets you download youtube videos as mp3/mp4/avi etc, then simply just drag and drop the video file into iTunes. Thats how I do it, can't remember the exact name of the add-on atm (i'm not typing this from my PC), youtube converter droid or something rather lol...

Firefox add-on is called DownloadHelper

DownloadHelper - Media download Firefox extension

An ipod/ipad will probably need the file in .mp4 format.

If you don't use firefox then you'll have to get a converter program to convert the videos into .mp4 I believe.

Apple loves only letting certain types of files on it's stuff and its a big pain in the ass.

I used to use a program called orbit on my pc. You could download any playing media file using it, and I'm pretty sure it saved as an itunes compatible file.

I agree that Apple computers suck, but I have to admit the IPod is a pretty sweet music player. Most of my music is from my own collection of CD's, but there are a few really old and really unavailable stuff I'd like to add. I've only found them on YouTube.
I use Google Chrome, so the Firefox add on probably won't work with Chrome.
