I'm glad you guys didn't just throw an HKS DLI in there to see if it would have solved the problem because I already know it wouldn't have worked. 12 psi on 16Ts won't task the stock ignition system. Either the coils, plugs, plug gap, wires, or PTU needs to be checked.

We replaced the bad coil before he drove Tue car home a few weeks ago. It's been running well since then. It's actually back at the shop now for some follow up.

I'm curious if the coils take care of the issue or if he will be snagging a new ptu as well. I'm kind've in the same boat over here...just swapped my coils a couple thousand ago and still get massive studdering and knock at higher boost levels...then again, I also have to fix a leaky intake hose. Hopefully the less expensive helps mitigate my problems but i'm interested to see how those 16t's do after the new packs.
60% of the time, my car works every time.

We swapped the coil last time he was here (when this thread was posted) he has been driving it since then with no issues. He just dropped it back off for some follow up stuff.

Let me know when you get her back on the dyno!
It should be noted that I wasn't whoopin on it too much when I got it back, and that I turned the boost down to about 10psi. Had to take it easy, cause the trip home was 400+ miles one way. It did fine though, and I got the alignment taken care of, so it's really practically finished, just gotta get the rim touched up and dyno this bitch... again.

What people forget. And then try to run over stock boost (or even stock boost) and then complain about how a 3S is crap...with thier 20 yr old 150K mile coils LOL

Im running 16T's at 11 psi on stock Injectors/stock tune. Interesting that you all made 322/315 on 12 psi with 560cc injectors (I must not be far behind). Those injectors have ALOT of headroom left as well.

Im planning on hitting ~400whp with just 450's and a SAFC. Im curious what the HP ceiling is on a proper running 16T car with the stock MAS in place. Are you planning on maxing this setup out? or just shooting for 400+ wheel?

Im considering going with an Evo 8 Maf conversion, but I dont suspect 400 wheel will outflow the stock MAS. It will be close however. I guess time will tell.
