Yeah Em Ive seen a few of the SL's ... Even thought about painting mine this color for a bit, but this was the first factory Danube hoop wing VR4 Ive ever seen so i thought I would share .. Starting to feel a little left out after seeing all the overseas options these cars had .. Wish we would have had the same choices from factory !!!

Yeah I understand what your saying above me here .. Wish I had known about all this back in the 90's when I got the VR4 .. Getting these things would have been simple .. Makes me wonder what Mitsu still stocks for Japan GTo's

Maybe it was an optional extra in Japan?
MR turbos are NOT 9bs, I've had one in bits.

    Steve
MR turbos are most definetly the standard 9b. I just looked up two models [using vin number search in ASA]. One an 2nd gen MR [z15a] and one standard TT 2nd gen [z16a] and the cartridge part number is identical. The cartridge includes both wheels. Compressor and exhaust. The part number between 1st and 2nd gen is different however. Not sure what the difference is.
It has been stated that the 11G and 13G turbos were an option in Japan on the MR models so perhaps you had one of those.

OK from what I can tell there are 3 different cartridge part numbers. 1st gen, 1st gen MR Special Version [Includes 1st gen MR Patrol car] & 2nd gen.

    1st gen part #: MD613405
1st gen MR Special Version part #: MD613891
2nd gen [includes all MRs] part #: MD613896

Also that is only for the Z16A MR Special Version between 1992.12.1 to 1993.2.1 [yes it is an MR and a Z16A] and the Z16A Patrol Car of the same dates. ALL other models use the standard part number assosiated with their generation. I have no idea if this 3rd part number is infact an 11G or 13G or just a different part number for the 9b like the 1st and 2nd gen part numbers. Both 9b but 2 different part numbers.

Edit: I will install Euro ASA some time tomorrow and run the part numbers for euro spec 3000GT Twin Turbo.

Update on my post above. According to USDM ASA part number MD613891 has been replaced by part number MD613896 so I assume then that this part number was nothing special.

Are you serious Steve? Your basing your whole argument on the fact you worked on ONE MR and there-for they must all be bigger? It has been clearly stated earlier by someone from Japan that the 11G and 13G were an option for the MR. I have tried to be tolerent of your comments Steve but sometimes you just act like such a fucking dick. Unless you can prove that every MR has bigger turbos then your comments are just pointless...... I mean what the fuck does "whatever" mean? The program clearly states the facts. Unless you can prove otherwise STFU.
