    New bov, spring pressure?

    Im picking up a new bov, either tial qr or alpha q, havent decided which yet (anyone have any input feel free to let me know)..

    Based on this video,


    am I choosing the spring based off of the -16hg or the -20hg?

    The tial sounds stellar and you will need an 11 pd spring .. IDK anything about the Alpha .. The engines vac pressure is 22 .. Sometimes I see an occasional 24 ..

    ive got a pretty substantial vac leak somewhere, its no wonder my gauge is reading only 15hg. Thanks for the info lug

    I see -19hg on smooth idle at 700rpm. Have seen it as low as -26hg on hard overrun. As the ISC valve moves to alter engine speed it will alter the vacuum at idle.
    GTO-TT, PTE 1200's, M20, Emanage Ultimate, OS Geiken R3C,
    TD04-16g`s, Maf-t. 13g`s 12.4@115mph / 16g`s 12.5@117mph.

    My idle sits at 1000, its been high since I got the car. The biss screw doesn't change it either.. Seeing my vacuum at 16hg is kinda unsettling after seeing that most people have around 21.

    Around 1000 RPM I still show about 19.4 in/Hg

    Wow, I must have a leak somewhere still then, I usually only see -15 to -17 in/hg

    Service manual for 91' has vac listed as 19/hg. My car is mostly stock so a small vac leak is afoot somewhere.

    92'-99' has it listed as a minimum of 18/hg
