obd 1 to obd 2 adapter!!!

Was looking around on eBay and found this. OBD1 to OBD2 Mitsubishi 12 pin Connector adaptor cable - eBay (item 130492994900 end time Apr-01-11 0720 PDT). Will this work on a 1g 3/s. I plan on getting a Bluetooth adapter and using my phone.

I don't think it will work because the bluetooth adapter will be trying to communicate at 10400 baud, that's incompatible with 1953 baud of OBD1.

Hmm, I wonder if this would work with snap-on's MITSU-1 adapter?

    And? Did it work?

For OBDI mitsubishis, the snap-on pdf manual says you need the HYUN-2 adapter (which I don't have).

I have used a Snap-On Modus with the HYUN-2 adapter [basically just an OBD1 plug] and it communicated fine. I didn't think to check things like knock etc but I could see injector duty cycles, engine revs etc and do a system check and shut down injectors one by one etc.

Yea it doesn't read knock. That's why I can't really log with just that.

If you have a laptop with a serial port [or a USB to serial adapter] then you can download the programs and make a logging cable. The parts will cost all of $20.00
