Someone with a large lathe could have it done in a small amount of time compared to using a grinder by hand.

fuck that. $2000 wheels vs. calipers worth $150? that's an easy decision.

That's always an exception man, you NEVER cut into the spokes of a rim. Joe, if I can make it out back to my car today I'll snap a couple of pictures for you.

Problem with that is that rims usually cost substantially more that a couple of calipers.

^^^^Also of that thinking. Wheels cost more than callipers plus wheels have warranty which would be void if I modify them.

Jordan that would be awesome if you could take some pics

    This thread needs wheel pics!

Anyways, looks like you have a good bit more room to file. Or as a few others said, slap some 2g calipers and rotors on there and call it a day.

Well I completely flat broke and I was very lucky to be able to come up with the $950 to get the new wheels. And not because I want new wheels cus I have to have them.

BBK or 2nd gen brakes is on my to-do-list though. When I can afford it.

    Old wheels

    Damage to old wheels

    New wheels

I got the car somewhat unburried today, so I'll snap some pics and post them when I finish up tomorrow.
