Installed my new 19T's last night...

Got my turbo back from Forced performance after a piece of plastic got stuck oin the oil supply orfice and destroyed the thrust bearing. Fortunately I got it rebuilt, and the rear for $580. Redone completely and I must say am very impressed with the results and work. Well, it took me about 4 1/2 hours last night to install the turbos, new oil lines, and downpipe. Not to bad. Put the new lines with gaskets, new banjo bolts, and heat shields and put all new bolts on the o2 housings. Everything went rather smooth. Hardest part was putting the rear oil return line onto the oil pan. ss line is so stiff it took awhile to get the bolts in to the pan.

Re-did the wastegate lines, the one going to the rear turbo was like 1 1/2 ft shorter than the front and I would always get a surging sound from the bov when I let off the gas. Now, it runs very smooth and tight and doesnt have any surging what so ever. I just extended the line from the solenoid longer and did even lines to the wastegates. Not bad considering im no tech Gonna do the erron vent method to relieve krank case pressure. Overall, Im so excited to have her back and running great. Such a difference from the audi to the GT. Scary!!

God I love having a 500 whp car!!

It's pretty easy as long as everything isn't rusted and seized. I've pulled and installed turbos like a kabazillion times now. Feels like it anyway

The outer diameter of the 19T is pretty much the same as the 9b.

Ya its simple. take off the heat shield, take off the feed line, unbolt the return line from the oil pan. unbolt the dp and the o2 housingfrom the rear turbo. I lay a drop cloth on the engine and lay over the engine and work that way. Then just unblot it from the header and it will come right up. U will need a breaker bar definitly. I have done this about 15 times so its really easy for me.
