72mph in 5th is 3000 rpm.
Re damn diculous.
The GP GT is at like 2500 rpm at 70 IIRC.

I want to say in the 94 VR4 when I was driving from Nashville, TN to Fort Benning, GA I was getting between 24-27mpg.
Now we daily drive a Honda CRX HF which gets 50+mpg
about 23. Never quite reached 25
I got 27-29 in my old na with a 12% taller 5th gear.

Thats one of the things going in my Stealth when I get another trans together.
VR4. 20. Highway and bumper to bumper.
Also worth mentioning I changed out my speedo gear for more accurate speedometer so my MPG will read lower (and more realistic.)

I got about 23 on 95 driving around Baltimore and DC last time I went to richmond in my car, though I wasn't whoopin on it like I usually do. I also have to mention that traffic was fluctuating between bumper to bumper practically stopped at times to wide open 65 mph zones in VA and MD. As long as you stay out of the turbos and keep your foot steady or use cruise, the TT does pretty damn good imo, especially considering the mods I have on it.

MHI 16-T's and supporting mods.
Most highway open road mileage was around 27-29 but once got 30.1 eastbound across Kansas. Mostly on cruise control. Around town average 16 +/- depending how much i could keep my foot out of it.
1992 Stealth R/t Twin 120,000k. New rebuild will be a lot more HP (555+) so don't have a clue as to what will happen then. Seems logical that it should perform more efficiently with the stage 3 heads, etc. but the cams may also eat that up. I'll wait and see.
