Cake at work

You know those days when it's someones birthday or going away or welcome back, and someone gets cake...... Do they really think about it? Do they care what everyone else will like or just themselves? I remember when a thick ass chocolate mud cake was stock standard for work cake, even then I was like bleh but had a few bites. Today was big Kevs birthday. (I'll be sure to pass on everyones best wishes) They got a dirty stinky coffee cake. I had one bite and almost puked! Why can't people just do normal?

Do you guys get work cake? I think this is a huge issue, possibly a world wide epidemic. I want answers!

We usually do pizza. We get a couple with cheese, a couple with meat and a couple of veggie and everyone's happy.

We do Cake. Person who's birthday it is chooses the cake. I chose White Chocoalte last week. Was awesome

That's how it was at my last job. Birthday person chose type of cake. Unfortunately, too many people like the whipped icing instead of the yummy, fattening, sugary, butter cream. Bastards.

Pizza is usually reserved for the days/nights where we have to work late or overtime or in some cases, did an awesome job. You Americans just love eating shit on too many ocassions.

Well, if it's a surprise and it usually is, you dont ask the birthdayee what cake they like, you generally go a generic 'most people should like this' cake. If the birthdayee loves horrible coffee/mud cake, they should be beaten!

There is no suprise when it happens EVERY birthday so you might as well ask the person who's b'day it is. Also at our work we would get pizza if working overtime. Until everyone got sick of Pizza so we sent one of the Indians down to the local Indian takeaway with 25 orders hahaha.

People at my work are ass clowns when it comes to b-day cake, for mine I got some sick ass coffee cake too. But... That's what everyone gets for their birthday there, because that's what the boss likes...

On a side note, before things went south at the job. I used to order a few pizzas of every type and a sack of powerade for everyone on long strenuous shifts.
