    LOUD pop when reved

I have a louuuuuud popping sound when I hit the throttle, sounds like its coming from front turbo or intake pipe.

When I unhook the MAF, the popping goes away entirely. Idle seems better also but it could just be me...

Hook MAF back up, pop sound returns.

    Is the MAF shot?

    Thanks

Sounds like you're running lean and backfiring. Once you disconnect the MAF, the car goes into limp mode and the ECU determines the AF ratio and makes the car run pig rich, hence the reason your backfiring disappears.

Vacuum reduction, Powdercoated misc, cruise relocate, Evo9 BOV, Custom catch cans, Russell fuel filter, SS braided fuel lines, High flow fuel loop, Autogage fuel gauge, Catless DP, DNP Y-pipe, Fuel pump hotwire.

What's that mean for him? Probably has a boost/vacuum leak?

I would start there for sure. Probably a vacuum leak.

Vac leak testing would be covered under boost leak testing, yes. That's definitely something to check for. I HATE debugging these car runs worse with MAF plugged in situations...

I've had intermittent hesitation problems since I've owned it, the other day it was stuttering BAD, almost no power on accel until I hit around 3000. Really wanna get this sorted out once and for all
