What about making a claim with your credit card company? I am guessing they replaced the mainboard with one that was banned without knowing it.

New update, I just got off of the phone with Microsoft corporate. I now have a new case number and a direct call back to this service guys desk.

As it turns out, all of the other "Tier 3" statuses were fake and made up to get me off of the phone. It was my BBB report that finally got me to the correct people. I should hear back Monday after he talks with the Live team to see what if any reasons they have for banning my serial number.

I am very disappointed with the standard service I received, since I now know that I was constantly lied to. But I finally have their attention and a direct number.

As always, I will add updates as more come about.

That is really bullshit that they lied to get you to hang up. Tier 3 was never gonna call, that's messed up.

It is a HUGE PITA! As for the 3S parts deal, that would rock. haha

That would be fine, if I hadn't just spent $100 to fix it only to have it come back to me working but unusable.

Also, 6 years is nothing! I have my original NES from 1985 and it still works. Other currently operational systems in my house, SNES, N64, Game Cube, Wii, Genisis, DS, PSP. All still work, only one that has ever broken on me is this darn 360. haha

if anyone does have shares of apple, i wouldn't hold onto them much longer. when jobs DOES kick the bucket, apple stock will tank. seriously.
