I think it looks better on the Stealth than it does the 3000gt. The Stealth has always looked to have a wider rear stance than the 3000gt just due to the design differences of the rear lights. The way the wing arches over the corner brake lights just seems to flow.

    Check it out on Youtube!!

I never thought the combat wing looked that out of place on a Stealth either, not like putting an AA wing on with Stealth tails

    96 Banana FTW...

Honestly the 96 wing is overrated and overpriced.... The minor differences in the two wings don't justify the price regardless how rare they are. The average Joe Shmo looking at the two will rarely spot the difference.

given that the 99 vr4 wing is over $1000 new and most people would think it wasn't a stock oem wing I find this comment odd...

    I wasn't making a comparison 99 vs 96, just a statement about the 96 wing.

Your also comparing the price of a new 99 wing to the price of a used 96 wing... Both wings used go for around the same price last I checked.

The point being is that the 91-95 banana wing compared to the 96 wing, Very little difference. Only things that make the 96 wing unique is that it was only made in 96 "which just makes it rare not unique" it has integrated feet and a slight upward curve at the rear. Other than that it is basically the same shape and mounts the exact same as previous years. Compare any year 3000gt wing to the 99 combat and they are all completely different.

It all depends on taste and how each person sees it. I like the banana wing but I think the combat wing makes the rear of the car more aggressive looking and gives it a wider looking stance.

I think we all know, the hoop spoiler is really where it's at. Most see it and think it's NA, because sleeper.

Nothing really 3S related today. Working on the heads with the blue point tool that finally arrived, bit of a PITA to try to get the keepers back on with it but I only spent a couple minutes on it. I did finally finish rebuilding my desktop computer for the most part. Have some PWM splitters and extension cables coming for various things, but a i7 3770k at 4.4ghz under water and I'm pretty much at about ambient.

car's pretty much done besides intercoolers. May try to get the fuel pressure gauge installed somewhere over the weekend and the led lit cup holder.

I don't know, I think the 96 wing makes the rear a lot more aggressive, as if the car is ready to launch, but whatever. I used to like the combat wing. Trying to be a lot more subtle now. I don't want gawks everywhere I go.
