I got my new rear hatch struts finally, so those will be going in later today. I'm also going to do another batch of electroplating & I need to finish cleaning up the fans/shrouds the rest of the way so I can remount them to the radiator.

Dropped PS rack, dropped front subframe and control arms, pressed out ball joints and bushings, dropped off everything at the powder coater. Started cleaning up the engine bay. Took inventory on what parts I have and what I still need to get.

No doubt looks great, how durable is it?

I used the cast iron on my block, bracketry & heatsheilds 10k miles ago & it's holding up great-
So far so good on the cast aluminum...but we'll see- I degreased my trans thoroughly, but cast aluminum can still hold oils.
Being satin finish, you can spray it on light for durability.
Sure as shit improved it's appearance ATM

I'm pretty sure that the Aluma-Blast they use is from the Eastwood Company...I've used it now on several of my smaller projects & the stuff has held up very well so far using the proper steps (IE: used a paint-prep degreaser, a self-etching primer, & then the topcoat).

Anyways, I won an auction for an older IPS-polished upper intake plenum...It'll be much easier to mirror-shine this one back up than to continue with perfecting mine ATM (I'll continue with that one once I'm further along with my class ).

I cleaned up the oil filter housing some and attached it to the pump. Also put on the new oil pickup onto the new pump.

Just cleaned and painted (waiting for paint to dry) the dip stick tube and oil filter housing bracket.
