Not my 3S per se. But still 3S related. Did the IC piping a while ago and did the VC/manifold last night. I love the way it looks. Now he just needs to get rid of all the red vacuum lines left over from the previous owners color scheme.

Removed rear roll pin. Bought and assembled engine stand and got M12 x 1.75 x 70mm grade 8.8 bolts to mount it up. Removed bumper and positioned hoist for the pull.

Hey Jim, Have you done any max lift measurements for that hoist with the length of chain? You might want to choke up a bit, as the cylinder looks pretty extended as is-
With a third strap on the trans to keep it level, you need to have approx. 26-27" lift (measured from bottom of bellhousing to top of upper belt covers) to clear the rad support.

Thanks, I still need to go over that. I probably need to get a ratchet strap for the trans too.

Good eye, I don't think that will work ether. I had to set an engine back down once. That kind of sucked.

Ratchet strap for the trans is a definite. What did the engine bar run you?

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

Thanks. The leveler is borrowed along with the hoist. Appreciate the comments as this will be my first ever pull Where do you guys hook up the trans strap and do you do it first thing or on the middle of the pull?
