What did you do today to your 3/S?

Well not today but a few days ago I put the finished assembling the new built shortblock for my 93. Tuesday I installed it along with the transmission. Yesterday I put axles, fuel, intercooler piping, radiator, and all other hoses and connections on. Just need to put the TC, downpipe, battery, and fluids in it and it will be ready for its first start .

Took my first stab at polishing an aluminum piece:

Polishing your first piece or your first aluminum piece? I'm trying to polish an aluminum plate. It's kicking my ass so far, lol.

Dug this out of a box of old stuff. Cleaning it up and repainting to match my color scheme. I think it was hideous before, that's why it's been sitting in a box, lol.

Was painted silver with blue lettering


Going for polished with black lettering. Still working on the polishing part. Proving much harder than I thought, lol. Think I'll just buy a 3sx cover later.


Working on making this fit. That's a 4" MAF adapter and the first I've seen this size (usually only 3" or 4.5"). Not much to lose at only $6

Pulled a trans. Then realized I have 5-1/2 3S trannys on my garage floor.

I probably had about that many at one time. I think I am down to one on the floor, my Quaiffe LSD with broken 2nd gear, and the one in my car.

Does this replace the front & rear motor mounts? I have seen this before, but did not understand what it's function was.

I have four total, I have taken all of them through 400 Grit sandpaper and 0000 Steel wool. They look really nice as is, can't wait to see how they turn out with the polish compound and a buffing with the Dremel.
