Found out if you cut the cx racing fmic after the throttle body bend and flip the other part over, you can recirc the bov into the stock bubble. And still go blow though. For those people who want blow through without a super loud bov (me). Of course Im going to run it open first just to see what the forge sounds like non recirc lol.
Pulled my new borg warner turbo apart today and inspected thoroughly. Also fabbed up a 15 psi wastegate for the turbo. The one that came with it is supposevly rated at 8 psi and has no nipple for a boost controller
Not today, but when I bought mine it had AWFUL aaftermarket tinting, so I scraped it off and it only took hours to do.
- Removed and painted the windshield wiper arms and the lower windshield trim.
- Inflated the flat front tire.
- Installed my "new" snake eyes. Old ones were cracked and the corners broken off. Bought a beautiful pair at LKQ for $4.
- Painted the last piece of my headlights shrouds and installed it ($3 at LKQ) so now I have a full front end.
- Ordered a set of line wrenches from harbor freight for $15 shipped to replace my fuel line (found one at LKQ... I love that place, think I might move in. Paid $5 for the hose!)
- Had my girlfriend install my "Made In Japan" decal in the top left-hand corner of my rear windshield. For a small change, it makes a big difference when you glance at the car.
- Installed my panama green driver's side door cap ($15 at LKQ).
- Cleaned out the junk from the trunk, installed the panels and made sure everything was connected... I have a few loose connections but we'll figure out what those go to one day.
- Removed the passenger side front seat in favor of a like-new grey cloth seat from LKQ ($33). It's way more comfortable. I want one for the driver's side.
- Installed the fuel relay thingy that goes on the side of the center console. The car would start if there was fuel in the line.
Tomorrow, I'll be putting the center console in and connecting everything, as well as trying to force a little fuel in the line to get her to crank up. Then it's just waiting for the rest of my parts to come in to finish her up. I have no idea why I wanted to part this thing out and crush the shell. I f*ckin' love working on this car. Maybe I'll write a build thread.
