So I purchased my VR4 with tan rear seats, and this past weekend, I finally installed the Black Charcoal rear seats I purchased when I was out in Cali. I also took apart the rear inside trunk panels and hooked up the motor to the radio antenna as well. I'll post some pictures when I get the chance and all that is next on my to do list is the DIY active aero rewiring for the rear spoiler wing! So excited to re-wire and get total control over it from the cockpit. I'll do the re-wire when I'm in the mood since it's gonna be a few weeks before I decide to take it out of storage...
My 91 took a poop a few months ago and I just now got it back in my garage. What has failed when you're driving down the road and the car seems to "fall" out of gear? I was driving and it just came to a stop so I checked for fluids on the ground and there was nothing. Started the car and put it in first, as I let the clutch out and give it gas to go the car makes a whining sound and barely creeps forward. Also sounds like metal spinning and bouncing off another piece of metal if that makes sense. Anyway, Clutch? Pressure plate? I was told by a local that it might be my transfer case output shaft. Thoughts? Plan on starting to tear it apart tonight

There's a bunch of things it could be. You got to remove the t-case to get the trans out anyway so if there is OS damage you'll see it at that point.

Well I got the transmission out. Nothing seems noticeably broken or off. I've included pictures to see if you guys notice anything. No play in any of the shafts. Again, my car would only whine and barely creep forward when I would let the clutch out and give it gas. Spinning metal sound along with the whine. Funny thing is it broke the first time, so I parked it and then a few months later I started it up and it ran perfectly fine for about an hour before the same thing happened. It kinda just "fell" out of gear mid drive. Any ideas? I think I'm having the trans rebuilt anyway to get rid of the second gear grind it had before hand.
