some of you may know from the other forum but i put my 93 3000gt into a guardrail after BRG and have been gradually getting it right.
as of yesterday, i have replaced the front struts and a shop got the alignment done. no other damage besides body work now. for now its covered and waiting to take it back out after the hurricane passes. defnitely getting lucky that all i have from wrecking it was left side exterior damage, a bent strut, and a rim replaced. should be able to get it to a body shop on monday to get the estimate
Picked up a new shell. This is how it was delivered to me. Made it work and got it off of there though.

I've got tons of parts, and most of what I'm doing will likely end up custom. I used the subframes and control arms from off of my old car, but I'm not sure how straight they are so they'll likely get replaced with tubular items down the road since it is hard to find those for sale. Most of the wiring is going to be redone to replace the poor factory wiring, and it will be getting some widebody fenders and a whole respray to freshen it back up. There is quite a bit of work to go around here before I even dig into the drive train, most of which is just going to be time consuming, but ideally I'd like to only have to build this once.
Bryan, I am very curious......HOW? How did you get that thing down?
Through sheer force of will.
I have a very steep driveway, so I backed the truck up to it to minimize distance to the ground.
Threw the front subframe, suspension and wheels on it.
Jacked the back of the car up and put some thick OSB under the car. Put some heavy duty ramps I made for motorcycles between the truck and the driveway.
Hooked tow straps from the front of the car to the back of my truck and just slowly towed it off. Once it was off, I just kept plywood under it to tow it up the drive way and into the garage.

so today i swapped out the damaged door from hitting a guardrail with a donor door (thanks to drgonzo for the awesome deal) . it took a few hours and with some help from my uncle we swapped out the window, the regulator and motor, and my lock cylinder. the only hurdle i have to get over now is that the door came off of a 92vr4 and mine is a 93base so the wiring harness connector for my side mirror doesnt match. (i think its cuz one has heated mirrors and the other doesnt? maybe someone can clarify or mitsubishi just decided to change the design....) i thought about altering the connectors but then was like " just switch the whole harness moron then youll have 2 working harnesses instead of 2 hacked ones" ....and thats my project for tomorrow.
after the door is 100% done, its off to the body shop for the rest of the car. will post pics tomorrow when its light out.
Yeah the mirror harness difference is for heated versus non-related, and yeah just swap the whole door harness. It will make life easier.
