Josh, I can't remember if I told you, but I was going through some of my videos and I found one of you and I racing at PRP back in 07 when I broke my first transmission. You were in the 95 back before you TT swapped it.

We both did horrible because they had the tree on Pro .400 and the track was slick from the rain that had just went through.

Been daily driving mine.......it's not a DD. The stage 4+ clutch with no vacuum assist was f-ing my foot up. Gave me motivation to get the land rover back on the road.

I've been thinking about one last build on this car.

    1. Pull the car back apart and paint it black. This would give me a chance to install a dual core, change the wiring harness (I have RobVR4's harness) and install a the electronics I want stereo etc. Also I can degree cams and work on the trans a bit more. I'd like to roll the fenders a lot also. I've gained a bunch of knowledge over the years on these sites and I feel like I'm one away from a fantastic car.

    2. Buy a 94-95 VR4, most know my car is a conversion (AWD TT). I could put all my go fast shit on the VR4 and use all the stock stuff on the green car. I could drive the green one as a DD and use the VR4 as my track/car show car. Not sure I can find a good VR4 that is totally rust free like the green car though. Not to mention one that doesn't need to be painted.

    What to do?......

I know I love these cars and I want to stick with them. Just not sure what I want to do.

I'd do a VR-4 build, Paul. Also, make sure you do a clutch booster. The heavy clutches suck without it.

    Damn that's the truth.

I've been leaning toward just doing the green car but it's a little concerning running the power I have now in a conversion. I have ways to beef it up but it still wont be as strong as a vr4. I plan to crank the boost up a lot more.

If I get a vr4 it will be twice the work + some but I will end up with two cars. One to drive with stock engine mounts and one to be bad ass.

    Edit: or and more money

Definitely way more expensive to buy a VR-4 and rebuild both, lol

yeah the spec 4+ is really light with the booster. FYI a RPS max or act heavy plate with a booster feels like the spec unboosted, lol.

My Stealth rattle can restore build is waiting on the painter. I dropped some parts off with him a couple weeks ago, but I think he's been too busy to touch them.

I started in on project "Dirty Sohc", was making good progress with the help of a buddy and then the females wanted food. So we went out to eat instead. Just need to undo the downpipe and cut the timing belt and the heads will come off.

My fire wall pushes out a half inch when I push my clutch pedal with the 4+, I couldn't imagine it being that much worse. I wouldn't drive it!

Well the green one would mainly get stock shit from the other car but you know how it goes, might as well replace this and that while I have it apart.

Sometimes its the little things that make me happy, installed the 4 missing screws that hold the plastics on the underside of the hatch in place.
