Had intentions of taking advantage of the warmer weather today and pissing around with mine today, but my body decided sleep was more important. I was laying in bed at 10 last night, I got woke up by a text at 8, fell back asleep until 11:30. Got to be at aunt's at 1 for Thanksgiving dinner.

Supposed to be nice again tomorrow, so hopefully that will work out there.

Happy Thanksgiving folks. Taking some time to relax and catch up on maintenance on the bike before taking a week of vacation next week.

Primarily, regreasing wheel bearings on the bike (still waiting for wheel bearings for the truck to get in to wrap that job up.)

Yamaha thinks this constitutes enough grease. To say nothing of the fact that its low quality, definitely not enough. No Lucas red thick n tacky on hand at the moment, but some new lithium grease should help.

Only got the rears done, will likely do the fronts tomorrow morning, and try to go riding with some folks tomorrow afternoon.

Back pains have been getting worse which limits what I can do, insurance can't kick in soon enough to get things checked out.

Starting getting my calieprs redone. Blasted them all down to metal and doing a two stage powder coat on them.

    Stage one.... Chrome!!

No they are not staying that way...LOL

    Stage 2 - Transparent blue

Missing one rebuild kit for the front so I won't get them all done this weekend as I planned. Supplier decided to only send one kit and not two like I ordered.

    Check it out on Youtube!!

Wow those look amazing! What is your cost cost for a normal rebuild and powder coat for a full set? Nothing fancy just gloss black or something along those lines. Trying to get an idea of what my TT brake swap will cost.

Cost to rebuild both front and rear calipers and powder coat is $350 plus return shipping. That includes stripping/blasting them down to raw metal, repolishing all pistons, cleaning all hardware "usually with ultrasonic cleaner", rebuilt kits, powder coating and reassembly.

That's when you start spraying nitrous over the FMIC and such

Greg, would polishing items before hand produce an even better result? Not sure how thick you lay down the powder. I know when I PCed stuff last time around the results were a bit uneven. Casting marks and minor surface irregularities drove me insane.
