I didn't do anything directly to the car... but I bought some new hairdryers for it. FP 68HTA's... like suped up 16G's.
Hoping for 19Tish spool but with the ability to make 800+ horsepower. DSM's have made ~500hp out of one! We shall see!

Was able to load the driver's subwoofer box today:
Used Bassboxpro6 to design the box. Vb is .402 FT3 tuned to 42.87Hz resulted in a flat output that tapers off like a sealed enclosure.

Not my 3/s, but today I discovered that NFFS and FAT-ex don't work in my car stereo, but FAT32 does. Just a helpful hint for anyone who is trying to run a thumb-drive/external-hard drive. Windows won't format FAT32 above 32GB, so if you run a 128GB like I do, you'll need a 3rd party tool to format to FAT32 so the head unit will recognize it.
Granted, this is an older head-unit, circa 2007-2011 timeframe.
From my previous reading it seems that the fp68 has lower efficiency(compared to the evo3's) until you get up into really ridiculous pr's. Anyone else have insight into this?

Yeah, but Nathan doesn't always take the easy route![]()
JRink ran them a few years ago and found that, however the design has changed quite a bit since then. With either the E3 or the 68s, they are at their most efficient when beating the piss out of them. In fact, that's one of the biggest benefits of the 68 is that as the PR goes up higher and higher, it's still fairly efficient so the intake charge isn't getting super heated. I'm sure that the "advanced" compressor housing helps as well though.
JRink's part out thread said he was at 755awhp on 60% wastegate duty cycle (although I didn't see an indication of what waste gate spring he was running in the post) so should be good for 800 awhp on E85 with comparable spool time to 16Gs.
The 68HTA's are a new design now compared to your reading about JRinks old setup. He ran the new one's to 755 AWHP at 60% duty cycle... they make a lot more power than 16g's do. The old ones were the equivalent of 16g's power wise, but you could stretch their legs a lot futher. The new one's use the 8cm^2 turbine housing... which is a huge improvement. They flow really well.
I bought mine from FP's sale, not JRinks. I made an offer on Jesse's but he didn't accept. He wants to try and batch sell stuff... which I understand.
Looking at the big dyno collection chart which is here: Dynomite - a collection of 3S dyno charts if you compare ray's DR750's to JRinks 16G's or 68HTA's... JRink's stuff spools quicker, and makes more power. I'm hoping my cams will actually help my stuff to NOT spool as quickly (marginally, mind you) and pull hard to at least 7500, if not 8000. These turbo's might be smaller than I like... but I can upgrade later. I shouldn't even lose any money on selling these at this sale price![]()
They are definitely a smoking price. I wasn't aware the design had been changed, that's good to know. I'm interested to see how they do.
