Yeah, I highly suspect that my next upgrade will probably be a 600 or 750 range but by the time I can afford one, the gas mileage shouldn't be as big of a concern.

    Couple shots from the garage

Well, video doesn't want to link, but whatever. Just at idle.

You're gonna have some fun with that.

For me, though, it's sooooooooooo 100 lbs ago...

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

Should, but not doing any serious leaning till the frame sliders get in . One thing I've noticed compared to when I used to ride, the R3 would prefer to remain a gear higher as opposed to trying to drop. Ie, a corner in 3rd at 45-50 even though RPMs are only around 6k instead of dropping to 2nd with RPMs higher.

100 pounds too much personal weight or bike weight?

Got the old ball and chain to climb onto the back last night. She's about 105. Definitely could feel it though with the 300.

A riding jacket and pants are a smart investment to save your skin should something happen as well. Not super comfortable when it's hot, but you'll be glad you had protective gear if you go down.

Got to get rid of that plate holder and turns. Buy some aftermarket turns for it.

Bikes don't generally gain weight with age, do they?

Depends on how vain the owner is as to whether the bike gained weight or the rider did

Paul, the rear fender will be eliminated shortly, and both front and rear blinkers will be getting swapped for aftermarket.

I'm not going to get an aftermarket exhaust I've decided. $400 for a dyno proven .4hp gain is silly, and the sounds aren't really worth that much for a commuter bike anyhow.
