Not really for mine, but I landed some more valve cover cores to make "pretty" again. :P

Been busy between the move and work, I'll try to update at some point this coming week.
For now, been contemplating scrapping my shell and trying to find a better one to work with. Clearly has had some unibody damage/tweaking, wiring harness has issues (although I do have new harnesses to fix that) and tons of rust and corrosion on the chassis and subframe pieces as well as fasteners.
Holding out hope for a blue 94/95, or a black 98, but shells seem to be getting harder to find these days. Already have engine, turbos and trans, not sure I'd make enough parting that stuff out on a car to justify buying a running VR4 to put my stuff into.
At any rate, also have an offer on my short block I'm considering. Would suck to sell and then find a good shell, but we are definitely hurting for cash after this move with some expenses coming up soon. Stupid life decisions.
Also have to try to find a good commuter car (or bike) since I'm traveling a little over an hour each way for work..the truck ain't gonna cut it.
Mods: 2g 3k body conversion, 2g Brake upgrade, Rota P45R rims
Projects: Interior sound deadening, 14Bs, forged bottom end, custom radiator and sound mounts
Pretty amazing stuff! Ok not really.
First and foremost, was trying to get the new car started, troubleshooting spark issues, and it seized. Completely seized, even busted the starter in the process lol! No worries though, I'm not using that engine and can part it out more than it's worth as a whole (2 bolt). Only benefit from getting it running was a straight through and easy inspection/registration.
Also, I had to strip apart the interior in the back to get to the bumper bolts. While I was at it I did a couple other small things. I stripped down the back seat area and cleaned it all up underneath, replaced one of the speaker panels as it was torn up from the sun, vacuumed up gross spare tire area, replaced fuel pump access panel, cleaned drain hoses (they were bad!), and then primed and sprayed the rear corners where the cars are rust prone. Turned out pretty nice!

Did a few more things.
- Painted the sunshade mounts, you can see the difference, ew!
- Changed all the window trim. Love having a clean parts car!
- Finished rear interior
- Did a VERY brief polish test run on the spoiler. I am talking about 30 seconds and look at the difference! Going to be hammering it with the orbital later this week.

Just got back from a over 1,500 mile round trip to and from my first NG.
Also averaged 19 mpg for the trip. Not bad for an 1,000cc E85 car running at 27 psi.

I've been working on cleaning up the replacement front crossmembers I bought a while back in preparation of some time with a local powder coater...Almost happy with them, so they should be dropped off come Monday. :P
In the meantime, I've continued to prep some more of my core valve covers to get them ready for refinishing & finally get the damn things sold!i believe my running total for just front ones are at 12 covers now (but I'm going to hoard an OE black wrinkle one for myself).

Finally replaced the front sway bar end links. Thank you Forest Gump for the Moog part numberThese fit WAY better than what came with the sway bars.
Checked the driveshaft while I had it up and noticed the carrier bearings have see better days, more to do.....it's a 3S
Going to be taking it out for a drive to enjoy it!

(Yesterday actually)
Swapped the driveshaft (propellor shaft) from the 99 and less vibs, BUT still getting knock counts I don't understand. When I watch my LCDBC I will see 1 maybe 2 counts while building boost in 2500-3500 range, but when I check the peak values (1 screen to the "left") it will show pucker amounts of knock, 20+
Going to hook up the HHH and get a log and I just have this uncomfortable feeling in my gut that it's the piston rings. As soon as the fun starts, the knock starts despite good AFRs. I have a couple of other items to try to "quiet" things down, but being completely honest....I am totally frustrated.
Going to get the boat out today instead of wrenching, the sound of 2 big blocks always puts me in a good place
Anyone else do any car work this weekend? That's half of the ownership experience, no?
Are you sure the knock sensor isn't bad?
