For the evil eye, I noticed on mine the edge was starting to scratch the glass some. i was also afraid about it smacking the glass lens each time I shut the hood. I wen to a craft store and got a sheet of that felt that is sticky on the back. cut a strip and ran it under the evil eye portion so that the felt touches the glass and not the metal. It works great and even the adhesive had not come free at all. It does bring the evil eye lip off the glass about 1-2mm but not really even noticeable and is a great way to protect the glass and ensure the paint will not rub off the evil eye from it rubbing the glass. I think everyone who has evil eye mod should have this same thing.

Good tip. I had planned on using some the felt stuff you can put on the bottom of chair legs to prevent scratching the floor. I'll post up how it turns out.

I just really don't like the way it follows the bumper and aims sky high. Notice in the pics where they are sold it is always from slightly above so you can't tell how it really looks on the car. Live and learn. If the splitter sat level it would look awesome and still be on the car, BUT without some body work it ain't gonna sit level and I wouldn't be able to get into my driveway or gagage. If I'd have painted the hardware it would have looked better, but still look ready to pack some air I bought the splitter black and as long as you weren't too far away and possibly at a slightly lower elevation it looked tits, otherwise I thought it looked like it belonged on a stickered out 95 Civic, not on my VR-4! I'll find some pics so you can see what I see.

Splitters are not rice. Splitters that sit stupid and show hardware are, IMHO.

What year is your car demo99? I have the skillard splitter and it doesn't point "up" nor show the "hardware".

They will point slightly up if not shimmed level on most.

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

I've definitely seen some of the skillard splitters point up and look bad. I'm assuming it's the way it bolts to the bumper cover.

The splitter is made well and fits as it should. I am just too picky I guess. Skillard product is great, I am in no way bashing the product, but the fit and appearance is not what I was hoping for. It will be for sale sometime in the coming weeks, I have a few other things to try to move as well.

As for today, I ordered a blackstealth LCD today Among other things, it will be great to finally be able to monitor knock without a laptop in the car!!!

Made a trans bracket with exhaust clearance and started the trans tunnel (it's just sitting on the transmission for the picture, will sit higher)
