I put a battery back under the hood:
Took the factory positive wires and ran them to a disto. block, stuffed it under the fuse box, then ran a single wire to the battery:
Positioned the grounding block out of the way and added split loom to keep the factory look:
Done, just need to fuse the power wire running back to the hatch and it will be complete.

Looks great! When people do battery relocations, do they do that same thing with the distribution and thick gauge wire ran to the back?

Yes, because that amp draw is traveling long distance. Plus you need to add a master kill switch, that when you shut it off the car shuts down.
That is the main reason I put the battery back under the hood.
Started the process of welding some cover panels into the engine bay.
And packing.
And more packing.
Picking up some new hardware tonight for the steering rack k member so that I can be reinstalled.
Mods: 2g 3k body conversion, 2g Brake upgrade, Rota P45R rims
Projects: Interior sound deadening, 14Bs, forged bottom end, custom radiator and sound mounts
Are you smoothing out the engine bay? Or did I miss something in your build?

Two fold reason: 1) yes smoothing the bay a bit, but also going to try to completely seal the bay off and extend my splitter back under the entire engine bay. With a hood vent behind the radiator, should greatly improve the airflow through the FMIC and radiator.
Probably will be less than two pounds of panels welded in. I think I'll feel the heavier weight of the BBK more.
Last nights and this morning's accomplishment: purchased, watered, fed and hung a bunch of hanging baskets of flowers so the lady is happy. Off tomorrow so I plan to spend some time in the garage working on packing more stuff and getting some space to work. Lot of tools and stuff to clean before packing them up.
I'd like to spend some time cleaning parts and taking pictures to hopefully sell, but more important to me is getting the front subframe back on. Maybe next day off or two get enough time to do the rear subframe bushes and get it back on. Big goals considering how little progress I've made on it. Probably tack weld some more plates into the engine bay as well in prep for more smoothing. Debating about smoothing the ABS hole out, or waiting and running the IC piping through there, then smoothing around it. Going through there would be a straighter shot to the throttle body, less turns, but require reworking some of the piping.
