I wish I would have just send the heads to the machine shop but oh well.
Try thin gauge, stainless wire wheel.

I wish I would have just send the heads to the machine shop but oh well. On the plus side, I got some new parts in the mail and got my rebuilt rear sub-frame back in yesterday; aws delete, new poly diff bushings, new LCA ball joints, adjustable control arms, new wheel bearings and seals, new e-brake hardware, and new sway bar end links.

Tonight will be working on drilling out a broken exhaust manifold stud on the rear head, yay! Also, have a couple on the turbine housings to drill out.
I was also going to recommend soda blasting but it's not a guarantee to get it off. If you do try it, I find it works really well through a normal sandblasting gun. I bought the $20 siphon gun at tractor supply and just stuck the pickup tube in the box of baking soda. Works way better than the diy soda Blaster that uses a tube and a blow gun. I recommend doing it outside in a storage container so most of the baking soda stays contained, once enough piles up in the container, you can stick the tube in it and reuse it. You'll go through a shit load of baking soda so it's good to try to reuse some.

Thanks for the suggestions. If I can't get it off with a wire wheel then I'm going to leave them and just lap them as is. I should have just sent them to the machine shop to begin with and I'm just tired of dealing with them. I have a sandblaster and homemade cabinet but I'm sure the black diamond stuff would damage the valves.

Got some shiz done. Raised the engine another 2-3" and pushed it back another 3". Sits perfectly now with great, near stock, ground clearance. Going to make my steering build a lot easier.

Looking good. I imagine a fair bit of work was needed to make a decent transmission tunnel?

But after seeing it all installed, I realized that even a solid color can be bleh.

So I am open to some bling like polished or chrome now for some contrast.
And that's why I want a murdered-out bay with just a few snippits of purple. Also why my bay is satin black. If I slap any color in it, it will stand out a lot.

No clue what happened. I was driving through some snow in the pick n pull parking lot and heard a loud click. Car doesn't drive differently until 55mph, then there is a noise that sounds like a wheel bearing going out. It is weird though as there is a whoomp sound, but it sounds like it is twice per revolution. Oh well, going to pull the diff apart to inspect what happened when I have some time. School and working 2 jobs is killing meh. I suspect a spider gear cracked or maybe the VCU took a shit.
