no. 6. You can just very slightly feel it with your fingernail. You can't feel it with your fingertip. I have some spare stock pistons so I'm considering removing the sump. Pushing out no 6 and inspecting. Replace with another used piston.

Supposed to be getting a call Monday from Eastwood about the regulator. Need to pick up some heavier wire for the cart I want to make. Doubt this .023" wire could do 1/4" thick, likely pick up some .030" for it.

Alternatively, *might* be able to grind it and make a few passes.

I swapped out another broken connector on my currently installed engine harness, stripped & powder coated the replacement transaxle-to-engine stay bracket I got from Erron (thanks again!!) & also got the shifter cable bracket in some high-gloss black, too. Oh, & I've been cleaning/tumbling some of the non-damaged bolts & miscellaneous fasteners the past couple days.

Borrowed an engine stand from Paul/TUFFTR. Going to buy the 2nd gen engine off Throwawayfool/John Howe and rebuild it instead since it comes with a full set of new pistons, rods and rings and being from a 94 model has a forged crank and 4 bolt girdle. I had planned to buy a 2nd gen engine and rebuild it then drop it in once complete. This has just moved that forward somewhat. Just unfortunate timing since I have no money

    I ordered some parts.
Your 1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL is one of 4310 that received VIN numbers. Based on the order of the serial numbers, your car was the 2685th out of the 4310 that were made that year.

Drove it around the block. Definition of self control, not even one drift or burnout happened.

Not really today, but recently had it in for a quick dyno run and to tidy up the timing maps. 50kms of dyno time later, I've now got a center diff that has had an absolute meltdown. Same place I normally use, different tuner (incidentally the owner of the business). This is what the sump plug looked like

This is what the fluid looked like

What could possibly have gone wrong? ~10,000kms, 1 dyno tune and 2 trackdays since 2nd gear syncros were done, all has been well until now. That fluid is approximately 3,000kms old.
