There is a lot that you can do to rework them and make them better, at the end of the day though, still not sure it'd be worth it. If you have to pull the trans even once to replace it you could've put a Quaife in. Idk, I just don't know that I could open a trans up and put something in (even if it had been rebuilt/remanufactured to allegedly not suck) since I imagine that the OBX limited life time warranty may not be upheld after it's been reworked by SCE.

    Yes

One thing for sure, never just put one in straight out of the box. They under-over torque the bolts and they are full of metal shavings. I did a lot of work on this one. Debur, bolts, washers, locktight etc. The one thing that concerned me was there was an extra washer in the damn thing that shouldn't have been there. I wondered if they put it in for the preload or they just f-ed up. When I replaced them I left it out so now I'm thinking it maybe should have been there. I honestly don't see how they made it out unless they just broke apart. These were supposed to be the good ones that don't crack though.

Which ones? I have the S1 coilovers and love them. I wish the rebound could be more adjustable for the firmer settings because it can get slightly bouncy on bumps but otherwise I love them. The ride is very similar to sport ECS mode.

Spent some time working with AutoCAD laying out the basic design for the SMIC I'm building. Waiting for some other programs to finish downloading as well so I can do a 3D model and check fluid flow based on end tanks and see what I can come up with within the space and budgetary constraints.

Also worked on trying to clean the paint off of some lexan lenses I had laying around. The interior paint was cracking and chipped off in some places, so i figured I'd get it all off, then robo mod and reassemble the headlights. So far best I've heard is Graffitti Remover to get it off.

Also have to order some type of modeling clay material for doing some custom fiberglass work, just not sure what would work without having too much shrinkage as it dries.

Why not carve foam instead of clay?

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

In this particular situation because the project is recessed into something and I need a way to get most of the filler back out in one piece to make molds with for fiberglass. Most foams that harden up are too brittle and would make it difficult to get back out. In this case I'll likely fill in some areas with balled up aluminum foil (or foam), but the majority will be made of clay, sculpted, removed, and then used to make my mold.
