Was good to put a face to the name, and of course, appreciate the interior. Time to pull and sell the porno red. Fantastic discussions of course, although we should've used an egg timer to keep the conversation from running so long. Going to try to look up what I can remember saying that we were unsure of.

Long day....Trans Lab shift kit installed. (thanks donnie for the reassurance on a couple steps!). Trans bolted on and everything locktite'd on related to flexplate. (Hoping for the best. DSMs pop the bolts out with some power and revs or just break the plate).

Ready to go in but called it a night. Will probably have to wait until next weekend.

Perhaps if someone hadn't dropped by and distracted you for an hour on Saturday you could have gotten it in

In all seriousness, looks good and you made some serious progress since Saturday morning.

^Worth the distraction. Always nice to speak with fellow enthusiasts. Hopefully I can head your way for some fun on the Dragon sometime.

Somehow, I feel that my sister and niece didn't quite share our enthusiasm lol

You should come to BRG. Lots of people, lots of booze, and riding the Dragon. It's what all the cool kids do.

These went in, with BC springs, titanium retainers and BC cam gears.....

    Degreeing in the cams....

Tomorrow will tackle the shift kit on trans and see how far I can get
    Your drive is inspiring.

Being able to easily remove those baffles will prove handy in the future.

Any issues degreeing-in the BC cam/gear combo? Are those 272's?

Thanks Adam. Very results oriented, so had set a goal and texted a few 3S friends that goal. Didn't get there, but made progress. Wanted to sit and watch some movies since it was damn cold in garage after hours out there, but couldn't go back on the goal I sent out without a valiant effort

The new 280's A bit over kill for current setup, but I'll degree as necessary to match powerband to my trap speed/rpm in atx's 3rd gear. Added benefit over 272 is a bit more lift, assuming my stock heads can take advantage. The .050 duration really isn't that extreme compared to race oriented options on other platforms. I could get the old 280's to idle fine, so the mirrored cam fix should only be an improvement.

The duration at .050" didn't quite match the cam card. (Can be inaccuracy in how you measure from the top of retainer.) I was undecided if I should match the lobe center to what BC recommends (stock), the opening event or combo. Ultimately I tried to match the .050" overlap front and rear so that both should have about the same compression. On my setup, 3 cams ended up at +4ish. Front exh cam was +1. For those not familiar with degreeing, this is my setup only. Difference in deck and head resurface plus tolerance stackup on cams and gears and even the limitations in measurement process (degree wheel to true zero, measuring duration off retainer, etc), all make a difference.

After break-in, I will readjust if there are any compression differences front and rear and call that my new "zero." Will adjust from there to suit powerband using virtual dyno.

Can't wait to hear how these sound with the 4" aluminum mufflerless exhaust I am building. I know it's ricer, but that is half my motivation right now!

BC springs, retainers, cams, and gears. Now I just need the BC stroker! Too bad I don't think it fits in a 2-bolt. If I'm going 4bolt, 6g74 is just as easy and costs less.

Not sure that the date has been finalized yet. There is a thread on the forum in the events section about it I think, as well as a facebook group (if you facebook.) Think there's also a standard website somewhere but haven't looked.
