    It caught fire :'( it was small and didnt do any damage but scared the shit out of me. Car is parked until i figure out what the hell happened.

    3SX's site claims you can use stock springs with BC272's. Ray recommends upgrading springs for BC272's... I'm considerably more inclined to trust Ray.

    I like the stock springs because they get along perfectly with the stock t-belt tensioner... And they're cheaper.

    Yes then I would totally go with ray and whatever he said . Upgrade the springs . But as u said , stock springs do go nicely with the oem tensioner . I bent valves from using a oem tensioner with springs so me personally would never go down that road again lol . But thats just me.

    Said screw it and ordered the BC springs... I will set the tension in the belt with the tensioner bottomed out so that it can't be overwhelmed.

    Yep Hesitant to pull the trigger on the 272's... Surely I can find those and UR cam gears used............ right?
