Dyno operator error. No way you pulled 200 whp with those mods.
I can make 300 whp if a dyno is miscalibrated.

Never heard of a Dyno Dynamics reading low. DynoJet and Mustang read low (more accurately), that's it. Either way, they're dyno numbers, who cares? Get a trap speed and it will mean something.

A video of the run proves nothing. Plenty of cars with plenty MORE mods haven't dynoed over 200 whp. That is proof in itself.
More isnt always better. Its WHAT the mods r, and condition of motor, and other things. Did they every mess with ignition timing or anything like that? Were their cars at 100% health and all maintence was complete?
Ive found several people in the 180-195whp range on 3si and some have less mods then i do.
Stop being mad cause im doing something right and im still a noob to 3/s
Try using google search.
A noob? I've owned my 3/s since you were in elementary school. I have more knowledge in my pinky than you do in your entire pea brain.
Thats why i said IM a noob lol... no wonder u hate everything. U dont even read whole posts.
More of a total weekend update than just today.![]()
Fixed the slop in my shifter, swapped to flash ECU, and took her to a GTO meet (Holdens, not Mitsus...) with a bunch of friends.
The source of most of my shifter slop. There are supposed to be 2 plastic bushings here, but all I had was a pile of 1990 plastic dust and a gap to fill. This was causing lots of left-right slop since this arm connects the shifter to the select (left-right) cable.

So I made my own bushing out of this brass hose barb. The ID was already a match, so I turned down the OD freehand on the bench grinder, then cut it to length. The dead plastic bushings also had collars on them, so I used an additional washer to take up the endplay. It's a nice fit now.

Reinstalled the shfiter base in the car with aluminum floor bushings, and Seattle shifter. (Made the fun discovery that one can get the shifter base out without removing the floor console if the radio and ECU are removed.)
Still need to install brass bushings at the trans next time I have the MAS and IC pipe out of the way.

And finally installed the SmokinVR4 (is that name still a dirty word?) shifter ring I've had laying around for years.

And cleaned up the engine bay. It'd been a while. Can't go to a meet with a dirty bay.

At first it took me more than 5 minutes messing with the settings to get the idle and low load right because the car kept hesitating. I'd say even on E85 these 1000s are basically maxing out the ARC-2 because I have the accel knob on zero. My AFRs are fine but I definitely couldn't lean out the idle more. It was real fickle too. The issue I ran into after filling up the tank with E85 though was that I get bad misfires at anything but cruising. Before when I had the projected tip plugs and 550 injectors it didn't misfire. After swapping the injectors and plugs it started doing this so I'm going to check those first. I'm trading the 550s for 720s in case things don't work. I will be keeping the 1000s for the flashed ECU and ethanol use though. So yeah I have to figure out why my car is having issues because the misfire is crazy bad. The exhaust would sometimes pop and there's definitely hesitation. Thankfully I was able to just cruise it across town home from the gas station.
