I took the Stealth to the car wash and after I was done pulling out of the parking lot not even getting on it maybe 1/4 throttle or less the car gets sideways and I'm going down the street this way probably 12 mph. It felt really weird and took me a couple seconds to realize what was going on even though I automatically started correcting the wheel. I'm used to powering through a corner with heavy throttle and the back end kicked out but not this. Lol. Damn all season tires. I guess they don't like the water. I have some high performance summer tires in the basement just need to get a different set of 18s for them.
Summer performance tires aren't going to do any better when wet. And for what its worth, I run all seasons year round with no issues.

My bad they're ultimate high performance summer tires not all seasons like I thought. Falken FK452s. They're only 245s though. The car came that way. I do need/want wider tires but they're not cheap for 19" wheels so I may wear this set out first.

I'm looking for better dry traction more than anything I just don't want the car to be hydro-planning if I get caught in the rain. I can spin all 4 tires right now on dry pavement and I'm only at 450AWHP too. The 245 width really annoys me though. I have some 265/35/18s I just need to stick on some different wheels.

Tonight I fix the radiator leak (stupid plastic drain plug... ) and put the radiator/etc back in the car. Then we go for a drive, yes?

    Very nice.

Spent a few minutes reassembling my glove box last night. I took it apart because it takes more force than it should to close it, but no matter what I loosened in the dash, I couldn't get it to close any easier. Oh well, found a couple spots I failed to put fasteners in when I put the dash back together in ~05. Should finish the racing harness install this weekend, then all I've got to do is bleed the brakes (and clutch) before I'll drive it again.

I can't believe I'm actually driving this thing around again after 5 years of... way too much BS. Last weekend I took it to a friend's shop for A/C evac and conversion to R134a... then it sprung the radiator leak and got a tow truck ride home.

On mine I've found that the glove box seems to rub against the carpeted side panel of the center console and binds some. I've never bothered looking for a fix.

Yeah man, that's really awesome and it looks great! Is it still running on the set of bearings that we installed?

When you shove mine closed, the corners of the glove box hit the dash while there's a gap along the middle of the seam. Apparently the latch inside the glove box is called the striker. I'm going call the thing the striker grabs the "hook"... I might be missing a spacer plate or something that goes beneath the hook. In '05, I took the dash apart, then it all sat while I installed the roll bar, then I put it back together in a hurry. I'm just glad the rest of the dash looks good, heh.
