    Noticed I had some pretty bad timing belt flapping going on. Checked my timing and tested the hydraulic tensioner. The one I just put on last year is leaking and only putting about 10 to 20lbs on the plunge. I could push it in with my hands instead of needing a bench vice. Put my old one back on. Probably 18 years old and 60k+ miles on it, but still functions like new. Much better than that POS Beck/Arnley part from the autostore...

    I always see people recommend only OEM for this - no aftermarket

    The old one actually works great, lol. I'll likely be replacing that with a solid one anyway and hopefully also making an access plate in the lower timing cover for tightening.

    Scrubbed and power washed the engine bay as best I could with everything still in it. Tomorrow I'm going to remove the rest of the parts, scrub it out a bit more and start sanding that awful white out of there. Hopefully shortly afterwards I'll be able to paint it black.

    Datalogger is down so after my back to back 40-150 pulls i was curious as to how the car ran, pulled plugs, clean, intact, no signs of detonation, maybe lightly rich but still clean.
