Went to the junkyard, Bought a few misc things
Stock radio (aux input is all i need out of a radio)
Fixed antenna, (auto one is broken and i don't care for it)
privacy shelf brackets
New carpet
Installed it all
here's my 6$ junkyard carpet (right) next to my Original carpet (Left) It's un-cleanable trust me.
Installed
I forgot to grab the little side pieces for the center console, I'll get them later today.
Also while i had the whole interior ripped out practically I figured it would be a good time to fix my ebrake without setting anything on fire. So Welded it back into place, and it works amazing. its so nice having a ebrake again. Tested it out to make sure it was adjusted by doing a few 2nd gear E-brake stands haha. Getting new tires soon anyways![]()
The past couple of days have been a complete and utter nightmare, fighting a losing battle against my car. I started three days ago, changing my oil pump (broken rotor) I not only did the oil pump, I found several other things I had to tend to as well.
- Loose as fuck K member, I torqued that down the moment I noticed it.
- Loose left hand subframe... I could move it with my hand easily, also fixed immediately. I also tightened the right hand side as a precaution.
- Grinding A/C compressor. I said to hell with it and did an complete A/C delete, I never use it anyways. and hopefully without the condenser my car will run cooler.
- Two loose transmission --> block bolts, I got very angry when I had seen this...
- One loose starter bolt.
- Weeping front oil drain, re-sealed with new pan.
- Cracked oil filter housing, I put a new freshly polished one on, shortly after putting it on I put my relocation/cooler adapter on and broke the threads off into the adapter, it took three hours to cleanly get the threads out.
- Also, just after getting the oil pump on I noticed some "water" sitting in the valley of the oil pump, I thought nothing of it at the time, wiped it off and finished the job for the most part. So, because of my ignorance I now get to take everything off again and put new gaskets onto my water pump.
Long story short, if I find anything else wrong, or if anything else breaks... I'm lighting that car on fire...
Hey me too!!
I tore out my interior to install a new heater core and install an ARC 2, PTE 550cc injectors, Blitz EBC, and some Corbeau seats.
I get everything put back together for the start-up and my pyrometer back-light flickers and goes out, great. I continue anyways and struggle to get the car started and stay running. Turns out my fuel system isn't holding pressure. I can't see any leaks at all. I swapped the 550's out for the EVO 560's that were previously installed and worked great...still won't hold pressure. I re-installed the 550's with viton o-rings and was very careful to put everything together...still no pressure.
I try to put only the best parts on this car and make it better (better idle with the 550's than 560's, ARC2 vs. NEO, MBC vs. EBC spool up times, etc etc) and this is what happens.
So all that on top of oil leaks for my valve cover gaskets and power steering leaking i'm just gonna let it die in a fiery crash...

I installed my new autometer phw gauges, and went for a test drive just to find out my digital ac screen went out.
my car has problems too. no 5th or reverse....Tho it was quite angry at the world today...for whatever reason It didn't think traction was necessary. everywhere i went i was squaking and and spinning tires...clutch was actually holding stock power for once...must have had somethign to do with the cooler temps outside. wherever i drove it just felt the need to butt rape my tires. still lots of tread on them tho.
installed new rotors today...traded my heavy duty oil cooler for them since no one wanted to buy it.
temporary until I A: get 1G VR4 knuckles, or B: get the right 17\18" rims so i can fit the 1G VR4 Caliper and 13" rotor setup

Did a vacuum reduction and installed my new dejon intake pipes, which I think is one of my favorite mods so far. Also ordered some egr block off plates and a IPS y pipe.
