I think you need to find yourself a more competent mechanic as well, he doesn't seem to give a damn about your car, or the problems he had cause. If I had pinched someone's wiring harness between the block and bell housing, that would be the day I stop working on cars. He should be working on that thing 24/7 fixing HIS fuckup. Have him check EVERY ground and plug on the right side of the harness, make sure none of the pins have been dislodged from the snaps, and make sure none of them have been pinched as well. one of them could've just been slightly nipped when he mated the trans a block back together.

all sounds a bit irresponsible of your mechanic to me, but i don't know the circumstances really..

i'd get out the door for as cheap as your could. then see what you can fix yourself.. then see what you can have a friend/3s owner help you with, then mechanic.

you probably could have replaced your throw out bearing, was it? yourself. it's a nice skill to have. i think it'll make you appreciate shifting nicely a little bit more. and it's really not that hard.

you gotta jack and socket set?

Simple solution. New wiring harness. He fucked up and hacked yours to shit, which caused all of your issues. I would scream lawsuit until I got a new harness or until a lawsuit came about. Most shops won't let it go that far before they do the right thing.

to amend the previous post, when i went to pick it up, it ran for a min .. went to pick it up and it idled fine and all that let it run for about 10 or so minutes or so to charge the battery a little it idled fine and all that , so i took off, then shortly after leaving the shops lot it just died then down the road about 200 yards. It just sorta fell on its face as i gave it very moderate gas then sputtered out n died, and we couldnt get it startedf again with a jumper pack so pulled it back to the shop. Seemed like it died just as a slight little boost started to build up like 2500 rpms maybe, so i might be taking it to a shop and having them fix it and get some money back form the shop im currently dealing with. on a side note the shop said they had it running for awhile and even took it out for a spin and it ran fine. had them check the alternator and said its puttin out 14v but why wasnt my battery more charged up if they had it running for any fair amount of time. so im thinking that they didnt have it running for too long....

Obviously not, I'm thinking they go it running, shut it off and left the problem to you. A lot of mechanical company's will do that.

well how about an update to my wireing deliemma lol ... i just got the car back earlier this afternoon and its wiring problems are solved once and for all i put a 125 - 150 miles on it and ran great ... dont get me wrong theres still some stuff to be squared up on the car, like its in need of a full tune up badly, but its running relatively well, tomorrow im pullin the plugs and some other stuff and seeing what sorta shape its all in... but its sittin in front of my house as we speak im soooo friggen happy finally got the car back and driving it after buying it a month n a half ago lol anyways ill post as i know more tomorrow n let anyone that might care to know how its goin n thanks a ton for everyone that chimmed in with knowledge trying to help me get this car straightened out i truely appreciate it nice to belong to a group that really cares about its fellow man so to speak.
BTW the reason it died on me friday night was cause the wire he used to bypass the short in the fuse box for the engine fuse, came disconnected. also virtually non of the intake stuff was hooked up MAJOR boost leaks so no wonder it feel on its face soon as i gave it any sorta gas when i was taking off ... heh the Y pipe wasnt connected to the throttle body the blow off valve hose on the Ypipe was lose the 2 hoses coming off the maf was loose and there was another one that im not sure what it was but was totally not connected lmfao wow ... his excuse it was like that when it was brought in, i said well ya had to go through there to fix the wires on the loom you pinched so why didnt ya hook em back up afer ya were done in that area but anyways its running and its stable now to start tuning it up and gettin it running real good im so happy this got resolved and this will not be my main shop anymore.. he took too long cared too little and alot of his work left alot to be desired !! hence overlooking or not careing about hook up my turbo plumbing correctly or at all for that matter, i SHOULD NOT of had to do that shit myself. and some other stuff but that one takes the perverbial cake heh. one thing in his defense tho ... he did seem to get the tranny rebuild feels solid and shifts smooth and the clutch feels good and all that it was the rest of the job he wasnt so hot on, also he was the one that did my stealths frot main seal and pulled that off without a hitch and in a very timely manor along with my 2 front wheel bearings as well. but anyways ill shut up now lol n thanks again for the input

well congrats on getting her back on the road.

but really. you should just work on her yourself. removing your transmission for example is not difficult. it's just a little time consuming. all the time you spent at the shop probably could have gotten the transaxle ready to be removed. post some pics mate and not from your for sale thread..
