well just got back a bit ago from the shop and he says now that he fixed the wires he messed up by taking off the butt connectors and hard wired them with solder that the fuses arent poping but still no spark ... still waiting on the ignition coils should be in tomorrow though ... ; /

With the O2 sensors cut, they could ground out and pop the fuse. The wires he screwed up are for idle air control and your speedometer. If he's not getting spark, it's not going to be the coils. It could be the crank or cam angle sensor or the PTU. He needs to check the blue wire coming out of each of the cam and crank angle sensors for a pulsing 5 volt signal while someone is cranking the engine.

so whats it take to change the cas on a 93 vr4? i heard you have to take off the timing belt and all that to get to it ... man i hope not be like a gran to do that as i might as well do the 60k tune up long as im in there. that would suck ;( .. btw when i say cut the O2 i mean its disconnected but the wires coming off of the sensor are cut but the section that you plug into is uncut if that makes sense to you. and its only the rear O2, but thanks for the info ill pass it to him tomorrow... gawd i just wanna drive this thing already lol btw i really appreciate the help.

alright finally after 2 weeks my ignition coils are in !!! so now they can get back into figureing out what the hell is wrong with my car, i know hanz said it wouldnt be the coils but he didnt wanna do anymore work on it, testing other things til he had the coils ruled out, as he really thinks thats a strong possibility on whats wrong with it, so if its not ill clue him in on testing the other stuff hanz said "ptu cam and crank angle sensor" im hoping it be the cam or ptu sensor if anything as this be the cheapest fix outta those possibilities. one thing i was thinking was the ecu could this possibly be the problem ?

I'm not a bit impressed with your mechanic. He doesn't want to test anything else till you buy new coils which you may or may not need?
Replacing parts untill it runs is going to be an expensive thing. Especially since I'm thinking the problem is still in the wiring (if it ran when you took it to the him for a clutch), and your mechanic is too much of a dumbass to find it.
If I were you, I'd find a competent mechanic.

Jeez Danny where the hell is this car now? So I can tell everyone I know to stay away from this mechanic. If he got the coils from us at autozone we won't be returning them lol. It's almost gotta be something in the wiring. He didnt fubar one of the wires going from the batt to the alternator did he? I don't know for sure on these cars, but on most cars the coils wont fire if it has a bad connection for the alternator. Which would explain your previous alt and batt problems...

If I'm not super busy this week I will try and look at it bud.

lol im starting to not even want this car anymore lol and ive put all of 30miles on it. and its a shame cause thr body is sooo clean theres hardly any dings in it and the car fax shows it was well maintained and all that (called and they said they should be able take em back long as its something that they can sell in the original package then it should be fine)

well i just got back from the shop and he hasnt had time to work on it yet , but im sure he must know what hes doin cause i asked about testing the cam and crank angle sensors and he said same thing Hans said to do which was check for a pulsing 5 volt signal coming from the blue wire on the cam and crank angle sensors. i dunno i guess i just have to let him have his time at it.
but like Valhallaz says "if it ran when you took it to the him for a clutch......." so i do think/suspect it is something to do with the wiring he messed up from pinching those wires between the bell housing and block, when he put the tranny back in.
How odd would it be that i just happen to have a sensor give out on me right after i left the shop, he says well "if its the wireing i did i fixed that cause i went back through and redid them and then made sure it was all done right".
could he of fried anything by pinching those wires ? alternator sensors ,,, anything?
but then again if its true what ethan says about the alternator not having a good connection it can cause problems. and i had some one else put that that i found had one on craigslist (not the shop) maybe thats problem? i dunno just hope he gets to working on it tomorrow lol...
