It's official. I finally traded my SL for my little bro's '88 NA z31. It's not all bad news though, I found a '91 SL for 2,300. same color, just different generation. definitely gonna buy it if it's still there next year.

As to why, I love the platform to death, but i'm sick of fwd. also, I'm really just doing my brother a solid as he is going to bootcamp this summer.

Why not get a VR-4? You can pick them up for a half decent price now and again.

unfortunately not around here. the cheapest i've been able to find one was 1500. it was 200 miles away, and the timing belt had snapped. the owner hadn't taken the engine to a mechanic, 'I guess the valves are bent, or something'. yeah. I wanted it. I already had my SL then. could've just swapped the Sl engine in, but someone else snapped it up first. Other than that, I haven't seen any less than 10,000 where I live.

fuck that. give GZP a call and ask them if they've got any 1g vr4's for around 5-6k. i bet they can hook you up.

i don't have 5-6k sitting around. I would love to own a 1g. they're my favorite. but I am a college student, and i'm not taking out a loan to buy a car.

Good choice, if you are paying your way through college, adding another loan to that would be a bad idea.
