    different a/c brackets??

ok i did alittle searchign and did not find anything. so im working on this basket case of a car went to hook up the a/c compressor and noticed the bracket was missing. so i got online and ordered a a/c bracket for a tt , got it installed it and it looks as if the bracket accomodates a larger compressor than whats on the car. is their a difference between first and second gen brackets? whats the deal if any of you know . right now i cant bolt the compressor on because the bolt holes are like 1/4 inche to far apart and the compressor only has three spots for bolts buyt the bracket has four spots.

Yes, the brackets are different between 1st and 2nd gen cars. Which one do you need?

when i did a 1gen to 2gen conversion i had to grind off an inch off the 1st gen bracket to make it fit the sec gen oil pump. if you put a stack of washers or about a 1 inch section of tube you can make it fit.
