Nice write up man
Thanks Alan, I would be honored.
I just can't get my usb-to-serial sync with my pda. had to use my parents computer with serial port.
I had the same problem as well, make sure your adapter software is installed properly on your computer. Open up your HotSync manager and find the tab on the left that says connection. You might need to select both usb & serial to get it to connect.
Hopefully this fixes your problem.
yeah, I tried many things/settings. I think I just have usb-to-serial adapter that simply won't work with my pda.
Go to setup in your hotsync manager, under the "local" tab, check the setting. The default is com 1, most USB to serial adapters are com 4.
If you are using Win7 there is a patch available for the palm desktop. Sorry I don't have the link handy, but if I get time I will find it again and post it up. It still will not allow a USB connection on Win7 but I was able to us an IR adapter and sync my m125.
RealMcCoy, like I said, I tried a lot of things. non worked. and yes I was using win7 for that (obviously). I will try IR.
I'm having the same issue as Dr. Gonzo. My log is fine and exports to my computer with no problem, but then converting it with MMCDTools as a .csv file causes it to crash. If I change to saved as file to a .xls file, it goes through the conversion fine but doesn't actually save a file... It says save completed but there's no file there.
It worked fine a few times and then it stopped entirely.
Derp, solved this myself. My logs over 5,000 rows crash MMCDtools.
Edit: disregard above. It just randomly chooses which logs not to upload. Really annoying.
