Usually means somebody died or bled a lot.

Chances are that because there is no visible blood that I can see, he died in the crash. A very unfortunate loss, it was a very nice car

Here in B.C. though, there has to be a very large bio-hazard sign on all four sides of the car if I'm not mistaken.
