electrical question, wasn't sure where to stick it.

I am in the process of hooking up my new center cluster gauges and wanted to make sure that I am going in the right direction. I am going to try to use the stock wiring harness and want to make sure I hook up correctly.

    Black for ground
    Red-Yellow + for Coolant Temp
Yellow-Red + for Oil Pressure (which sender to remove and use the wiring for? The large one?)

    Illumination .. + black-yellow and - green-white or the other way?

I have the schematic here but just wanted to double check to make sure that I was reading it correctly

    Thanks!
    Brandon

I think you want the other way around. Other than that, that's how I read the schematics.
(It shouldn't really matter if your new gages use bulbs but it will if they use LEDs.)

(which sender to remove and use the wiring for? The large one?)
Yup, the large "mushroom" shaped sender (not the smaller switch), as pictured here:

Crap doesn't that figure? I just bought a new sender from Cherry Hill before deciding to change to real gauges. Thanks for the input. After I wrote things out Black/Yellow seems more a ground than Green/White.. but ya never know.. better to check with someone else first :P

I now have a brand new OEM sender for sale from Cherry Hill
